Simon Fuller's XIX Entertainment, Jennifer Lopez, Marc Anthony, and Jamie King, in collaboration with BlackBerry, today announced that ?íQ'VIVA! THE CHOSEN, the groundbreaking docu-journey detailing their transcontinental exploration for the most amazing artists throughout Latin America, will make its Spanish-language U.S. debut January 28 on Univision and also air on leading networks throughout the Americas.
Univision, which is one of the top five networks regardless of language and the most-watched Spanish-language network in the U.S., will air 12 one-hour weekly episodes every Saturday at 7 p.m. ET/PT (6 p.m. Central). In addition to Univision in the U.S., Televisa in Mexico, and Caracol in Colombia, the series will debut internationally throughout Central and South America. Additional networks, including a major English-language U.S. broadcaster, will soon be announced.
Jennifer, Marc, and Jamie have been traveling throughout the Americas since October 2011 to meet the most outstanding singers, musicians, dancers and other amazing artists that they have discovered for ?íQ'VIVA! THE CHOSEN via their personal networks, grassroots efforts, and an unprecedented social media campaign on youtube.com/qvivaYouTube[/url] and Facebook.
Additionally, ?íQ'VIVA! THE CHOSEN and BlackBerry kicked-off a multi-country mobile tour that brought auditioning to the streets via state-of-the-art booths that visited major cities and neighboring towns in Argentina, Brazil, and Mexico. These mobile booths gave those without access to technology the opportunity to video record their auditions on the ultra portable BlackBerry PlayBook tablet.
?íQ'VIVA! THE CHOSEN, also sponsored by American Airlines, is currently being filmed in English, Spanish and Portuguese. The innovative series will document the epic transcontinental tour to find "The Chosen," the best artists who will be brought back to the United States for a chance to be part of a spectacular live show that will be the greatest celebration of Latin music and performance arts that the world has ever seen.
