Internships/REAL Work Experience at Latino Consultants


Latino Consultants -- a social cause marketing firm -- specializes in creating campaigns and the necessary tools for providing access to local, state and national resources that ultimately achieve true empowerment and progress!

Latino Consultants, LLC (LC), is currently offering a variety of internships to undergraduate and graduate students who would like to work on important issues affecting Latinos. We are seeking self-motivated individuals willing to work in all facets of campaign and collateral development.

In addition to gaining valuable experience working in social cause marketing, public relations and non-profit settings, there are also opportunities for those interested in web and graphic design. All interns will have the opportunity for training in leadership skills, research, database creation, and professional interaction (attend meetings and participate in various client events).

Interns must be able to work with upper management in order to understand and realize the client's vision. Office tasks are as assigned and all interns are expected to have a well-rounded experience. Applicants must have a strong sense of responsibility and commitment to quality work. This is a great opportunity for an individual trying to gain work experience and develop excellent references.

Internship Requirements:

?└ Commitment to work a minimum of 15 hours a week (hours flexible);
?└ Availability to participate in community outreach activities;
?└ Comply with Latino Consultants policies regarding work performance and personal conduct.

Eligibility Criteria:

?└ Ideal applicants are currently enrolled in college and/or trade program, although recent graduates or those looking for a career change may apply;
?└ Also, students majoring in fields related to web design and commercial art are welcome to apply as well;
?└ Note that candidates interested in web design and commercial art should have proficiency in HTML; Adobe Creative Suite, WordPress and or Freehand; and some experience with JavaScript; Proven skills in visual image creation, manipulation, and Web optimization; Requires good design skills, an eye for detail;
?└ Good organizational and communications skills;
?└ Must be enthusiastic;
?└ High academic achievement (preference will be given to applicants with a 3.0 GPA or above);
?└ Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred;
?└ Strong interpersonal skills;
?└ Strong analytical and writing skills;
?└ Strong commitment toward public service-oriented activities;
?└ An active interest in the Latino media/entertainment industry;
?└ Organized and solution-oriented;
?└ Able to multitask in fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude and a sense of humor!

Academic Credit & Compensation:

Academic credit is available where applicable. Compensation will commensurate with background and experience. LC is willing to be flexible and accommodating to a student's schedule.
