Who Says a Mexican Actor Can't Play a German Character?

Mexican actor Juan Pablo Medrano is testing new waters as he joins the cast of "Happily Whatever After" playing Hansel (one half of Hansel and Gretel) as well as one of the Little Three Pigs.

Back in his native Mexico he was used to playing the rich, snobby kid; he has the looks to play that part. But he also has the talent to bring to life a variety of diverse characters, such as the ones he portrays in Chris Berube's hysterical version of the beloved Grimm Brothers tales.

"I am having a great time" the young actor says. "This is a very funny play, and I get a lot of laughs with my characters; it's very rewarding!"

"Happily Whatever After" plays Tuesday nights at 9:30 pm at The Next Stage Theater on La Brea in Hollywood. More info at http://www.berubians.com/shows/whatever

I highly recommend this fabulous play. It's fun to watch, and it's good to support your local theaters. Go see it and tell them your friend Edie J. from LatinoLA sent you!
