8 Ways Book Selected By Las Comadres

February is the month of LOVE and what better way to celebrate than with the recently released book, 8 Ways To Say I Love My Life.?á The Las Comadres & Friends National Book Club has selected the must-read book about the empowerment of women, self-love, inner strength and the human spirit written by eight professional Latinas. In November 2012, the newly released 8 Ways To Say I Love My Life book remained in the Top 10 Amazon list in several categories, including biographies and memoirs, and has a five out of five star rating.

Las Comadres & Friends National Book Club under the umbrella of Las Comadres Para Las Americas, a nonprofit ?áorganization that builds connections and community with other Latinas, is delighted to showcase 8 Ways To Say I Love My Life and will host a teleconference on Monday, February 25th, 5pm PST with some of the authors as they share their stories.?á While the monthly potlucks are for women only, the bookclub meetings are open to all, and the teleconference is open to the public.?á For more information and to register, visit www.lascomadres.org.

The authors of?á 8 Ways To Say I Love My Life initiated their book reading and signing events in November with a reprisal of their Imagen Award-winning monologues based on the book, followed by author readings in December in Chicago, and dramatic author readings at the California Institution for Women (CIW) in January.

"8 Ways to Say, "I Love my Life!" was an incredible gift to the incarcerated women who sat in awe listening to [the authors] who shared their same stories, but whose lives had different outcomes," said Chaplain Maryloyola Yettke who helped organize the CIW event. "Powerful and inspirational testimonies of strength, courage and resolve that can turn someone from victim to victorious."?á More information on upcoming book readings and signings are available at http://www.8waystosay.com.
