USC Keck School of Medicine Joins APAIT Health Center, American Heart Association on Valentine's Day in Pico-Union/Westlake

Free Farm Fresh Fruits and Vegetables, While Supply Lasts!


Heart disease and stroke are the number one killer of both men and women in America according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Los Angeles's newest primary health provider, APAIT Health Center, is teamed up with the American Heart Association and the USC Keck School of Medicine to combat this killer disease with free Heart Checks on Valentine's Day.

The Everyone Has A Heart campaign encourages the most vulnerable residents of the vibrant Pico-Union/Westlake neighborhood to be more aware of their heart health. APAIT Health Center is offering free cholesterol and blood screenings on February 14, from 2pm-6pm. The American Heart Association will provide free education to the community about hypertension risks, which affect approximately 76 million Americans. The USC Keck School of Medicine will provide educational material and provided funding for farm fresh fruit and vegetables to be given away with heart checks.

Farm fresh fruits and vegetables will be given out while supply lasts to all check up patients!

Everyone Has A Heart is happening at 1730 West Olympic Blvd. Free parking will be available. The health center is conveniently located on the corner of Burlington and Olympic Blvd.
