As part of its ongoing commitment cultural diversity and responsible banking, and in celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, Union Bank, N.A., has partnered with KCETLink and is seeking nominations for outstanding Latino men and women in Los Angeles and surrounding regions for the Local Heroes Awards. Of the nominated local heroes who are providing great leadership and making significant contributions to improve and enrich the lives of others, two will be chosen and honored with video profiles on KCETLink during Hispanic Heritage Month in September/October and as part of a celebratory event in October.
Hispanic Heritage nominations will be accepted until midnight Friday, July 19, 2013.
Who can be nominated? Hispanic community members in the Los Angeles area who have shown leadership and dedication to serving their community through participation in the arts, business, community activism, education, social services, health services or other relevant fields.
Why? Partnering with public television stations throughout California, Union Bank designed the Local Heroes program to pay tribute to local heroes who are making a difference by improving their profession, community, region and the world. The program has grown to reflect the very vibrant and diverse communities in which the bank conducts business.
