Mother's advice has always been right: starting the day with a great breakfast provides the essential fuel a body needs to function and focus during the morning. To motivate Hispanic consumers to start their day with the most important meal of the day, the Hass Avocado Board (HAB) has teamed up with international chef/restaurateur, Richard Sandoval, and acclaimed New York-based Chef, Sue Torres, to create a globally infused breakfast menu featuring Hass avocados.
As a continuation of its recently announced Saborea Uno Hoy mark and website for Hispanic consumers, HAB's new breakfast menu offers 10 new ways to saborear and integrate fresh Hass avocados into delicious, fast and easy morning meals. All the recipes, available at www.SaboreaUnoHoy.com, feature Hass avocados as a key ingredient not only because of its delicious taste but also for its nutritional benefits. These benefits include naturally good fats, essential for a well-balanced diet; additionally, avocados are a cholesterol free food.
"Innovation and keeping meals fresh and authentic, yet fun, is key to my cooking style," says Richard Sandoval, chef/owner of over 35 restaurants around the world, including La Sandia in Santa Monica. "I'm excited to collaborate with HAB and showcase my spin to breakfast classics with fresh avocados - a key Latin ingredient that is so much a part of our Hispanic community. Its rich and creamy consistency packs a delicious punch into every bite. I hope everyone enjoys them."
Among Sandoval's Hass avocado breakfast offerings consumers can look forward to experiencing are Fruit and Avocado Cocktail garnished with Chile and Lim??n, Egg and Bacon Guacamole, Avocado Blintzes, Grilled Avocado a la Poblana and a tempting Avocado Panna Cotta.
From egg scrambles and cr?¬pes to smoothies, a delicious breakfast using Hass avocados in a variety of ways with the season's freshest ingredients are sure fire ways to get entire families to eat this one of a kind fruit, notes Chef Sue Torres.
"I'm excited to partner with the Hass Avocado Board for this campaign because the breakfast recipes I created underscore the avocado's versatility," states Chef Sue Torres, chef/owner of Sue??os Restaurant in New York City. "Whether it's a meal on-the-go or one enjoyed while sitting at the dining table, these are all mouthwatering options with the tasty and nutritious complement of the Hass avocado."
Torres's palate pleasing recipes range from sweet to savory, kid-friendly to nostalgic. They include a tropical Avocado, Mango and Papaya Smoothie, Migas with Avocado, an on-the-go Breakfast Burrito with Avocado Buttermilk Dressing and Avocado Cr?¬pes.
