Growing up in Venezuela with a father who plays the saxophone I experienced a culture that not many kids in Venezuela experience. Music was played in my house 24/7 and I enjoyed hearing my father play that magnificent instrument next to the window. When I moved to California I felt like something was missing: classical music. A few months after I arrived here I was told that Gustavo Dudamel was the conductor of The Los Angeles Philharmonic, and every time I can, I don't hesitate to go see him in concert.
Starting February 20th to March 2nd the Sim??n Bol?¡var Symphony Orchestra of Venezuela will flight all the way from Venezuela to play at the Walt Disney Concert Hall conducted by Dudamel. These series of concerts will pay tribute to the Russian composer Tchaikovsky; they will include performances of Tchaikovsky's three symphonies, concertos, symphonic poems and chamber music. TchaikovskyFest concludes in a joint performance of the two orchestras on March 2 at Walt Disney Concert Hall.
There is not reason to miss the opportunity to go see two of the best orchestras play together the amazing work of Tchaikovsky.
