If it's fun music and good wine, I am there! Anyone else? This summer I'm definitely looking forward to the 2014 Hollywood Bowl season, which offers this and much more! I am particularly excited about the Americas and Americans festival towards the end of July which brings a Latino flavor to this years LA Phil's Hollywood Bowl's season.
Starting on July 23rd and under the program "Americas & Americans," Gilberto Santa Rosa will make everyone dance Salsa so prepare your hips to move to thistropical beat. Santa Rosa will be followed by the talented Gloria Estefan on July 25 and 26, she will make you sing your heart out. But if you prefer to listen and feel the music, Ruben Blades will join Gustavo Dudamel on July 29th for an extraordinary concert with the Los Angeles Philharmonic. "Americas & Americans" closes with "Noche de Cine" on July 31stand will feature film clips and live music from Argentinian composer Gustavo Santaolalla as well as a suite from the film"Libertador" with a music score by Gustavo Dudamel.
If you are looking to plan a family day, every weekend there are concerts like Grease Sing-A-Long, DreamWorks Animation concert and a beautiful 4th of July fireworks show.
If tailgating is your thing, bring your picnic basket and wine to the picnic area before the concert and enjoy the scenery. If you have a large family, that's even better because you will receive a lower priced ticket and have your own picnic area to accommodate your large group at the Hollywood Bowl.
I'm definitely looking forward to the rest of the 2014 Hollywood Bowl season, it includes two of my favorite things: Wine and music. As a Latina I can never miss a Latin concert because I know I will have the time of my life!
