Summer has officially started and the Sandia Mexicana (or Mexican Watermelon) beertail blends the authentic smoked agave flavor of mezcal and the sweetness of watermelon, with the unique flavor of Indio, a dark Mexican lager.
Sandia Mexicana (Mexican Watermelon)
‘«ů 3 cubic inches of watermelon
‘«ů 1 oz mezcal
‘«ů ?Ę oz agave nectar
‘«ů ?Ę oz lime juice
‘«ů Indio beer
‘«ů Garnish: edible flower or a watermelon flag
1. Muddle the watermelon in a shaker, add mezcal, agave and lime juice.
2. Shake hard with cubed ice and strain into a highball glass over ice.
3. Top with Indio beer and stir to combine, garnish with a watermelon flag or an edible flower.
