During the summer, it's especially necessary to care for our natural resources, as over 80% of the world's ocean trash originates from land. To help with the preservation of the most popular So-Cal beaches, Las Palmas invested $30,000 to the Adopt A Beach program to install more than 250 Eco-Smart bins in Huntington Beach, Dockweiler Beach, Torrance Beach, and Venice Beach.
To drive attention to this issue and celebrate the partnership with Adopt A Beach, Las Palmas will be at the Venice Beach Summer Fest on Saturday, July 26th and Sunday, July 27th. There, Las Palmas will offer samples of the delicious Camarones a la Mexicana recipe, distribute discount coupons and raffle a family meal for four at the renowned Frida Mexican Cuisine restaurant.
"At Las Palmas we are committed to providing authentic Mexican flavor through all of our products, because we share the standard for quality meals that is engrained in the Hispanic culture. In this same way, we care deeply about the preservation of the beaches that families have enjoyed for years, and therefore are very proud to partner with Adopt A Beach to help keep them clean for the generations to come," said Jordan Greenberg, Vice President of Marketing at B&G Foods, Inc.
Following the summer activities, Las Palmas will be celebrating authentic Mexican food and culture at local events in the West Coast. In partnership with renowned Chef Vicente Del R?¡o, owner of Frida Mexican Cuisine and founder of the Taste of Mexico Association, Las Palmas will provide attendees of select festivals in Los Angeles, Las Vegas and San Diego a taste of traditional Mexican flavors with a special twist.
