More than 46% of California's prospective new drivers who qualify for AB 60 driver licenses are failing their written exams in English or Spanish according to preliminary statistics* provided by the California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV). As a result, Infinity Auto Insurance announced today the expansion of its bilingual AB 60 resources available to all potential applicants.
"Infinity has been providing low cost auto insurance to Californians, regardless of immigration status, for over 25 years," said James Gober, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Infinity Property and Casualty Corporation, the parent company of Infinity Auto Insurance. "Many AB 60 eligible drivers are still not receiving the information they need to take advantage of the benefits that come with having a CA driver license. Infinity wants to change that."
Since fall 2014, Infinity Auto Insurance has proactively provided comprehensive bilingual AB 60 information packages to prospective drivers. Available in print or online at www.infinityauto.com/AB60, these packages include eligibility requirements, study resources and Interactive tests. Infinity Auto Insurance also provides free insurance verification to drivers before they take the behind-the-wheel exam. Bilingual Infinity staff are available by calling 1-888-290-AB60 (2260) and will even help request proof of insurance, regardless of insurance carrier.
Infinity Auto Insurance continues to provide support materials at free AB 60 informational sessions in conjunction with community-based organizations throughout Southern California. Attendees may also access other important resources, including its long running Infinity DriverClub, a free membership to discounted roadside assistance.
