According to a staff memo, Buzzfeed is now read more by Latinos than white Americans. The memo credits this to the site's increased efforts to create more Latino-focused content, including immigration coverage and viral content for Latinos. Read this!

Netflix has launched in Cuba with service to Cubans with internet connection and access to international payment methods for $7.99. The available content will be similar to what Netflix currently offers in its Latin American programming.

MiTu Networks added an additional $5 million to the $10 million in financing it closed last year. The company has brought on Martha E. Flores as Chief Editorial Officer and Greg Griffin as Head of Product Development.

NASCAR has assigned its Hispanic marketing and advertising needs to Florida-based firm, Marca.

Don Francisco and Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals have partnered to create "Cuida tu Don" in order to raise the public's awareness of type 2 diabetes. The goal is to educate Hispanics about type 2 diabetes and show them how they stay healthy while living with the disease.

Montejo is the official beer sponsor of Man?í's upcoming tour, which kicks off in June. The sponsorship includes branded VIP areas at each concert stop, a consumer promotion where one fan will win a one-on-one experience with Man?í, branded visibility in Man?í music videos and a live concert event set to take place at a brewery in Mexico later this year.

Radio personality Luis Jimenez is back on the air at SBS' 93.1FM in New York with the new morning show, "Sin Censura con Luis Jimenez".

Celina Gonzalez, one of the Queens of Cuban music, died at age 85 in Havana last week. She first reached fame as part of the duo, Celina & Reutilio.

Genesis Rodriguez stars alongside Liam Neeson, Joel Kinnaman, Vicent D'Onofrio and Ed Harris in Run All Night, an action-thriller that opens in theaters on March 13th.

Argentinian choreographer Guillermo Grispo's work is featured in the upcoming action film, Kingsman: The Secret Service. The film opens in theaters this Friday, February 13th.

Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu took home the Best Director award at the Director's Guild of America Awards.

With Latino performers on the GRAMMY Premiere Ceremony (Ana Tijoux) and GRAMMY telecast (Juanes) this year, it was a big year for Latino artists at the GRAMMYs. Among this year's winners are Ruben Blades, Calle 13, Vicente Fernandez and Carlos Vives.

After more than 50 years, climbers in Chile's Andes claim to have found the wreckage from a LAN Chile flight that crashed in April of 1961. 34 people were on-board the flight, including 8 soccer players and the head coach of the Green Cross football squad, all presumed dead.

Puerto Rico will appeal a federal judge's ruling that the proposed Recovery Act, which made some of its agencies eligible for court-supervised debt restructuring, is unconstitutional. The island is on the brink of financial catastrophe with debt of more than $70 billion.
