Mujeres de Maiz Present Live Art Show/Performance/Festival

The collective Mujeres de Maiz presents "Mujeres de Maiz 2015: Madre/Mother," a month-long series of intercultural, intergenerational, and interdisciplinary art events celebrating our 18th Anniversary and 13th poetry and arts publication, in honor of International Women's Day, and Women's Herstory month.

With various events, including a live art show and performance event (March 8th), an art exhibit, a poetry night, workshops in writing and holistic health and more happening March through May 2015. Mujeres de Maiz has grown from a one day event to a month of events and now a full season of programming.

The large one-day performance event and exhibit is scheduled for Sunday, March 8th, (in solidarity with International Women's day across the world) at Legacy LA located at 1350 San Pablo Street, Los Angeles (Boyle Heights), 90033 at 6:00pm at $10-20 sliding scale general admission.
