Wanted: Community Resource Center Liaison

The Community Resource Center (CRC) Liaison is responsible for outreaching, educating, and referring current and prospective Health Net members. The position will provide walk-in customers and callers with health education and coverage information and assistance across all lines of business and product offerings.

The CRC Liaison identifies opportunities for enhancing Health Net's brand, visibility, and reputation in local communities and target markets. This position requires a customer-centric focus by helping diverse community members understand their health care needs and link them to appropriate Health Net representatives and/or government and community entities to obtain health care coverage information.


Assists walk-in customers and callers with their inquiries about Health Net's plans and product offerings and CRC services and connects them to appropriate Health Net departments and/or community resources.

Responsible for opening/closing the CRC on a daily basis and upkeep of the CRC to ensure a safe, informative, and welcoming environment for community residents.
Researches and plans promotional and community health-focused events at the CRC coordinating simple to complex events and projects including but not limited to developing, maintaining, and distributing CRC monthly calendar of community events and/or activities. Identifies, coordinates and confirms schedule and staffing for CRC services.

Tracks and refers walk-in customers and callers to appropriate Health Net representatives and/or departments.

Conducts presentations, workshops and/or classes at the CRC.

Performs project support and other duties as assigned.

‘«ů Education:
Bachelor's degree in marketing, social sciences, healthcare or related field preferred

‘«ů Certification/License:
Must possess valid State driver's license and insurance coverage if driving a vehicle for company and/or for company business

‘«ů Government Security/Clearance/Citizenship Requirements:

‘«ů Experience:
Minimum two years of experience in retail, customer service, and/or related field
Knowledge of health care industry, managed care, and/or government programs preferred

Experience with planning community events and activities and/or health-related events

‘«ů Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Excellent customer service skills with an understanding for cultural diversity and sensitivity to the needs of and differences between cultural groups

Excellent oral and written communication and phone presentation skills

Excellent presentation and public speaking skills

Detail oriented with analytical skills

Ability to comprehend and follow detailed procedural guidelines and compliance rules and regulations

Ability to focus and complete multiple tasks accurately in a fast-paced environment
Must be flexible and able to work independently as well as be a team player working collaboratively across functions and business lines

Personal computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially with Excel, Word, email and spreadsheet and database experience

Bilingual proficiency required (Spanish highly preferred)

Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and/or holidays
May be required to lift 25 or up to 75 pounds
