Local Team Gets to Train with Mexican Soccer Legend

As the twenty players from the WCSA Atletico FC team prepared for a regular practice Friday afternoon, Adolfo Rios a well-known goalkeeper who has played with professional clubs America, Chivas and Morelia among other, joined the field to share with the teens his personal and professional experience as footballer.

Rios, the goalkeeper with the most professional appearances in Mexican league history with 633 games, was visiting Los Angeles to support Mexico as the team faced Ecuador in a friendly match. During the training, Rios, ex-president of Club Gallos Blancos in Mexico, spoke to them about staying focused both on and off the field.

As part of the afternoon session, he lead various soccer-focused competitions where winners received MNT merchandise courtesy of Allstate and presented by participating agent Carlos Aquino. At the conclusion of the clinic, each participant and coach were surprised with Allstate-branded gear as well as with the tickets to the international friendly between Mexico and Ecuador; a game to remember as
