ViceVersa Magazine www.viceversa-mag.com is a weekly online publication that was launched in New York a year ago, August 10th, 2014. Its goal is to provide a quality environment to showcase Latinos' positive contributions to the US in every field: cultural, social, economic, political, and scientific.
Every week, ViceVersa Magazine publishes interviews with important Latin personalities, as well as young new talents. ViceVersa has been able to learn and tell the stories of people with different backgrounds, ages, professions, and countries of origin. From famous doctors to writers, from artists to curators, from astronomers to mathematicians, from philanthropists to social entrepreneurs: they are all part of a human mosaic that refuses some of the more negative stigmas that accompany the word "Latino".
In addition, ViceVersa Magazine has become a platform for Latin Americans to express their analytical and creative insights through the different sections of the magazine: opinion, urban chronicles, interviews, photography, illustration, and creative writing. In fact, we can count on notable Latino contributors, as well as young new talents who write from the United States, Europe and Latin America. They demonstrate that Latin America is not synonymous of corruption, violence, and drugs, but rather it can mean good universities, great teachers, and acute analysts.
Today ViceVersa Magazine is celebrating its first year.
This is an important moment for those who have believed in this project from the beginning and have poured their passion and talent into the magazine's virtual pages every week. Today, ViceVersa Magazine can proudly say that it has achieved the goal set a year ago: becoming a platform that promotes Latin American excellence in the US and in the world.
ViceVersa's team strongly believes in the existing pool of bright and skillful Latinos, and is committed to continue to bring their stories to light in the coming years.
