[/b]Considered Mexico's national dish, all things mole will be found at Los Angeles's Placita Olvera on Sunday, October 4th as the 8th Annual Feria de los Moles thrills food aficionados with its flavorful goodness.[/b] Among the food authorities who will be on hand to teach festivalgoers about the intricacies of this delicious sauce will be award-winning chef, Foster Farms recipe contributor and mole maven, Chef Rocio Camacho, aka "The Goddess of Mole".
The self-taught Oaxacan native, who worked her way up in the Los Angeles kitchen scene over the last 22 years, will be partnering with Foster Farms's Spanish-language spokesperson and face of the company's current Hispanic ad campaign, Mar?¡a C?írdenas, to share secrets to making her acclaimed Chicken in Pumpkin Seeds and Hoja Santa Green Mole prepared with Foster Farms chicken, California's freshest all-natural chicken.
"I'm very happy to be participating with Foster farms in this year's Feria de los Moles," said Camacho. "My moles have to be the best and most delicious moles around. I do this by using the best quality ingredients, from the chiles to the pumpkin seeds to Foster Farms all-natural chicken. I look forward to sharing my tricks and special touches to my award-winning green chicken mole recipe with attendees."
C?írdenas added, "For me, my favorite mole recipe is always served with fresh chicken. This is why I look forward to tag teaming with Rocio and sharing important cooking and chicken tips with consumers to help them make the best green mole in town in their own home any day."
As an event sponsor, Foster Farms, Camacho and C?írdenas will be featured in two cooking clinics offered during the course of the Feria de los Moles festivities. Samples of the green chicken mole recipe will also be available at the Foster Farms's booth in addition to recipe cards, discount coupons and giveaways.
