Spanish royals are scheduled to attend the 7th International Congress of the Spanish Language (CILE) to be held at the Convention Center in San Juan this week, March 15 to March 18th, 2016.
"It is an honor for Puerto Rico to receive the King and Queen of Spain for this Congress of great importance for Spanish speakers', said Governor Garcia Padilla.
The Puerto Rican leader said that the visit of King Felipe VI 'symbolizes the unbreakable union of our peoples and all Latin American brothers, who share with Spain culture, language and history'.
The 7th Congress dedicated to the Spanish Langauge, will be held from March 15 to 19, and will gather more than 150 experts in the field of language. The event pays tribute to the most legendary authors who have cultivated and enriched Spanish language: Miguel de Cervantes, Garcilaso de la Vega and Ruben Dario.
Guests include a dazzling array of contemporary writers of the Spanish language such as Giannina Braschi, Antonio Skármeta, Gonzalo Celorio, Jorge Volpi, Edmundo Paz Soldan, and Luis Rafael Sanchez, among others.
