2016 Líderes Call for Nominations

Marking its 10th anniversary, the Coors Light Líderes program begins the search to find the next up-and-coming Latino leader for 2016. The program seeks an emerging Latino leader nominated by a nonprofit institution to receive a $25,000 grant to develop a program that benefits Latinos in his or her community. Emerging Latino leaders can be nominated at www.coorslightlideres.com starting today through June 20, 2016.

"This year we are excited to kick off the Coors Light Líderes program as we celebrate 10 years of Latino leaders inspiring and improving their communities," says Alberto Senior, national Latino community efforts lead at MillerCoors. "Coors Light is proud to shine a light on outstanding Latinos working hard to make a positive and lasting impact, and for the past 10 years we've been able to do that through the Líderes program."

Through the nomination criteria, 12 finalists will be selected to participate for the title of 2016 Coors Light Líder of the Year. The 12 legal-drinking-age finalists will then participate in an online voting competition through www.coorslightlideres.com The winner will be announced in September during Hispanic Heritage Month.

In 2015, Coors Light recognized JoAnna Cintrón as Líder of the Year. Cintrón will use the $25,000 grant to implement a Latino leadership and awareness program for CineLatino, in partnership with the Denver Film Society.

Coors Light Líderes has recognized and promoted Latino leaders who empower their communities over the last decade. Coors Light launched the program in 2006. To learn more, please click to watch Coors Light Líderes anniversary video.
