Since releasing her debut EP, Despertar, De'Anza has gained a slew of media coverage from the likes of CNN, NPR, Remezcla, MTV Tres and LA Weekly, including being touted, "Latin Alternative's New Leading Lady" by the OC Weekly.
The iconic indie retailer, Amoeba Music, has been a key supporter from the beginning. Last year, De'Anza took part in Amoeba's Home Grown Independent Music Series. The campaign brought early exposure and prime store placement helping Despertar's initial buzz.
With popular in-store concerts, their Webby Award winning What's In My Bag? series, and their coveted Green Room Sessions, Amoeba has positioned itself as a bona-fide taste maker.
Showing their support once again, Amoeba invited De'Anza to perform inside the store's green room - which has been host to some legendary artists including, Paul McCartney, Ozzy Osbourne, Los Lobos, Wanda Jackson, Solomon Burke, Duran Duran and Annie Lennox to name just a few.
De'Anza, along with guitarist Alejandro Blanco, perform stripped down renditions of album cuts, "Bruja" and "Despertar." As a result of her performance, De'Anza now holds the distinction of being the first Latina artist to grace Amoeba's Green Room Sessions.
