Denny?s Scholastic Stars Sweepstakes is winding down, ending on November 30, 2003, with high school students with a 3.0 GPA or better eligible to win a $1,000 Hispanic College Fund Scholarship, a trip to Hollywood to appear in a Denny?s Spanish-language TV commercial and a set of Denny?s Library of Latino Literature.

The high school with the highest rate of participation in the Sweepstakes will be personally presented the 50-volume book set by Victor Villase?or, author of Rain of Gold and The Thirteen Senses, who has also agreed to address the student body and meet school and community leaders!

To make sure your school is selected, encourage students to pick up their entry form at their local Denny?s and enter the Sweepstakes! Forms will be available at the restaurants until November 16.

The Denny?s Library of Latino Literature consists of 50 books of classic and contemporary Latino literature suitable for high school students. It was developed with the assistance of high school teachers, book publishers, authors, literacy advocates and bookstore owners.
