Comedy That Seniors Can Relate To is my mantra that led me to create my entertainment company. After taking my mom, who's now 96, to an Improv years ago and her not being amused made me think more about comedy, seniors, and the human experience in dealing with an elderly parent. So...I created Senior Comedy Afternoons to engage my mother and all the other mothers and fathers in the afternoons so that they can get out and have some fun with their peers and their children.
It's now 6 years that I'm producing and performing too and i see how my mom looks forward to getting out and laughing and having a good time. You know you don't stop laughing at a certain age.
There is no age limit to laughter. So with that in mind i am so happy to say that i have created an intergenerational opportunity for adult children to take their elderly parents out and have fun together. My shows are all clean, the venues are accessible and my comedians are all over 50. The results have been amazing and I'm very happy that my mother has been the impetus for me to be able to present a solution for other children with elderly parents to enjoy each others company.
So the next time you're looking to take mom and dad, or grandma and grandpa out to spend some time see what I've got happening.
Should you be available on July the 28th I'll be doing my Hello Rio show with an all star Latin cast of comedians and performers. No time like the present to spend time with the people you love to make memories that will last a lifetime!
