The Art of Dreaming at CSUSB

A collaboration of student organizations at California State University, San Bernardino will create a proactive safe space of healing through a workshop.

The art workshop will take place 6:00pm on March 7, 2017 at the CSUSB Visual Arts building (room 303). Some of the groups making this event possible include CSUSB DREAMers Resource & Success Center, PDC Dreamers, The Coyote Pack, Milpas, and The TransCultural Commons Collective.

Community members are invited to create their own artistic pieces by repurposing pre-disposed materials collected from CSUSB's Art Department. Concepts and topics for the art pieces center around the experience of being an undocumented university student or an ally.

Free food will be provided at the event along with live music by student-run org, Mass Productions, as well as an opportunity for finished art pieces to be published and reviewed by Badlands Literary Journal.

This will not be a singled out event, as in June there will be a gala to auction the pieces created during this event. To help publicize the needs of students on the campus of CSUSB, a wide array of distinguished guests will be invited. More information about the gala can be found by contacting Ariana Cano and Luis Esparza.
