Babasonicos to Play the Classics

BABAS?NICOS, with more than one decade of rock and freedom, will perform an exclusive show on Tuesday May 4th, 2004 at LA's Conga Room.

The band is composed by Adri?n D?rgelos (voice), Diego Uma (percussion and guitar), Uma-T (keyboards), Diego Castellano (battery), Gabo (bass) and Mariano Roger (guitar) and once again it returns to the United States to perform different versions of his classic hits and to charm all his followers.

BABAS?NICOS was formed in Lan?s, a district of the Great Buenos Aires in 1991. The name of the group arose from a game of words that brought together the name of the guru Sai Baba with the famous cartoon ?The Supersonics?.

In more than 12 years of its career, BABAS?NICOS have launched twelve albums and has performed in more than 500 shows that took them to a tour throughout Argentina, United States, Mexico, Spain and some other countries of South Am?rica. They have opened shows for Soda Stereo, Depeche Mode, U2, INXS and Jamiroquai. They have done more than 20 music videos which they were in charge of directing 17 of them. They even have had the pleasure to work with Ian Brown (Stone Roses) who included one of his songs on his second album ?Golden Greats?. Besides, the band was nominated to the Latin Grammy 2002 in the category of ?Best Rock Album By A Duo Or Group With Vocal?.

BABAS?NICOS, with their last album ?Infame? that was released in 2003 and published by EMI Music under the license of Pelo Music, once again they are surprising their fans with a more provocative album from the lyrics to the composing of the music; with ballads and boleros.
?Infame? is scheduled for U.S. release May 18, 2004.

BABAS?NICOS with their high achievements, controversial risks and originality in both musical and scenic, continue growing in popularity and recognition.

The event will start at 8:30 PM with the opening acts of El Leon and Moktezoom. The concert is produced by the Conga Room and Hawk Entertainment. Quilmes, the most popular beer in Argentina will be the official sponsor of the event.
