The Goddess of Ritmo Smiles Again

Once again, the Goddess of Ritmo will smile down upon the "Barrio by the Sea", Oxnard, Califas, for the 11th Annual Oxnard Salsa Festival July 24th & 25th.

Showcasing some of the best Salsa/ Latin Jazz music groups in the land, the 2 day event is free to the world, including free parking. Mr. Pablo Ortiz and Gold Coast Broadcasting Corporation have worked hard to bring you the finest in West Coast Latino entertainment in an event that has garnered world-wide attention. Last year, over 45,000 people attended the event, with this year's Festival looking to draw a larger crowd.

There will be delicious food, ice cold refreshments, unique one of a kind arts & crafts, souveniers, music , clothing , and jewelry available, along with a large outdoor dance floor under the clouds in the Pacific sea breezes, all day long. Some of the best looking people, like you, will be enjoying the Southern Califas sunshine, where beautiful weather is highly expected, as usual.

There will also be the famous "salsa cook-off" contest, making some of the best salsa available for your tasting pleasure!

Also, 2 salsa dance contests will be held, with couples competing for a $500.00 cash prize and beautiful trophies.

The entertainment bill reads like a "who's who?" in Southern California Salsa & Latin Jazz music:

Louie Cruz Beltran & The Latin Jazz Ensemble

The Susie Hansen Latin band

The L.A. Mambo Combo

Leslie Paula & The Latin Soul Band

Orquesta Son Mayor

The Rumba Salsera Dance Company

Reyes de la Rumba

For the 4th year, I have been honored to be asked to be a guest co-host and judge of one of the salsa dance contests, so I hope you can make it, it would be a distinct pleasure to see you & meet you there!

Southern Califas is truly the Land of 1000 Dances, and the 11th Annual Oxnard Salsa Festival truly helps bring that point home!
