An Artistic Renaissance
Discovering LA's latest, most distinct, arts district
Northeast Los Angeles is undergoing its latest artistic renaissance?a rebirth the area hasn?t seen since the turn of the 20th century, when luminaries like Charles Lummis, William Lees Judson, and Marion and Elmer Wachtel reigned as purveyors of culture over all of Los Angeles.

With a cluster of art galleries, a noted museum, a growing number of unique cultural destinations, and a strong community of artists in residence, the North Figueroa corridor is quickly becoming Los Angeles? latest?and most distinct?arts district.
We invite you to take a free self-guided tour -- the Paseo Figueroa Art Trek -- to discover our funky brand of arts and culture. You?ll get acquainted with the unique Pets With Fez; the distinct galleries including Gallery Figueroa, Avenue 50 Studio, Rock Rose Art Gallery, Galeria Mundo, and Random Gallery; the one-of-kind individuality of Sangeet School of World Music; our happening hair salon, Le Last Touch, our ?drive by? art gallery, Oranges and Sardines; our community resource at Flor y Canto; the tattoo artists to the rock stars at Vintage Tattoo Art Parlour; and that ultimate hip hangout, Mr. T?s. Each location will feature events and exhibits that showcase our diverse talents.
