?McDonald?s Fiesta Broadway? organizers are gearing up for the annual weekend of activities in downtown Los Angeles starring the 16th annual, 36-block celebration, set for Sunday, May 1, 12 noon to 6 p.m. Launching the weekend?s activities is the third annual Fiesta Broadway Charity Golf Tournament, Saturday, April 30, starting at 8 a.m. at the Pelican Hill Golf Club in Newport Coast. In keeping with the community spirit of Fiesta Broadway, these events will raise funds for area non-profit organizations and scholarship programs.

?Fiesta Broadway is a free, family friendly cultural event that gives back to the community all year long,? says Larry Gonzalez, President, All Access Entertainment (AAE), producers of Fiesta Broadway. ?We are proud of McDonald?s commitment to our community and applaud its generosity.?

The nation?s largest Cinco de Mayo celebration, Fiesta Broadway remains a free event thanks to the co-sponsorship of the City of Los Angeles. Over 500,000 people attend annually. Latin superstars are featured on multiple concert stages throughout the day. The 2005 line-up includes: La Ley, Antonio Aguilar Jr., Flor Silvestre, Alicia Villareal and Jennifer Pe?a, among many others. Jammed with booths, games, sports activities and play area for kids, Fiesta Broadway offers something for everybody.

Funds raised by the golf tourney will benefit notable charities such as the Ronald McDonald House, The National Institute of Transplantation and the New America Alliance MBA Scholarship Fund. Approximately $100,000 was raised in 2004.

McDonald?s and Albertsons return to Fiesta Broadway XVI as "Title? and ?Presenting? sponsors, respectively. Additional sponsors include: Home Depot and SBC. Telemundo station KWHY TV 22 (Canal 22), will again produce a Spanish language television special from the streets and stages, to air the day of Fiesta Broadway from 7 to 10 p.m.

Fiesta Broadway is produced by All Access Entertainment (AAE) and the City of Los Angeles. AAE, a minority-owned California company specializing in the staging of cultural festivals and family entertainment events, has produced Fiesta Broadway since 1994 when it bought the event from Univision?s Jerry Perenchio.
