The Franco Brothers de Nicaragua!

This is a true story about two brothers from Managua, Nicaragua whom I have followed for many years.

When I first met these guys back in September 1989 in San Jose, CA, where I saw them perform at a club name Bogaloo's, I saw a lot of potential in them and talent in the group. I can still see people screaming and dancing with these guys playing hot salsa and merengue.

Back then the band was called Los Hermanos Franco y su Orquestra Actualidad, but since then, they've traveled to San Juan, Puerto Rico and recorded original songs with Puerto Rico's famous arranger, Carlos 'Cuto' Soto. He gave the brothers a cross-over name "The Franco Brothers". Since then, the two brothers were cemented with that famous name.

The brothers, Carlitos and Bismarck, were all smiles. I really love this band and once you hear them and mingle with them, you are going to agree that these guys are open-hearted with everybody. They are not self-centered or big-headed like some artists in the Latino music world.

All I can say is that Nicaragua has new stars on the horizon. Even though no one has ever heard of this band, you are in for a big awakening in Los Angeles and throughout the world.

The Franco Brothers have a maxi-single CD with four original tunes, written and composed by them. The tunes are hot and will make you forget all the troubles in your life. The songs are 'Una Avenutura No Mas', 'Como Puedes Tu', 'Intenta Otra Vez', and 'Voy de Viaje'. Along with these songs, they have more original tunes. They are in the studio getting the oven ready to bake a hot CD with 14 compositions
with arrangements by Jairo Varela, Ramon Sanchez, Humberto Ramirez, Papo Sanchez, Poldo Castro and others.

In the meantime, they have been performing in San Francisco, San Jose, Reno and other places. Their June 15 performance in Los Angeles will be their first ever in our city. You'll be reminded of the LA Dodgers of the 70s and 80s, a smooth running machine that produced many winning teams.
