Every second Thursday of the month Gitanerias Caf? is the right place to gather with family and friends. Enjoy the different culinary delights of Spanish Tapas, Sangria and Traditional Mexican cuisine, with city's most vibrant and exciting Flamenco night that you will not soon forget featuring Claudia de la Cruz & her mesmerizing flamenco gypsy style, extraordinary guitarist, Gabriel Reyna, with guest male dancer Rudy Ornelas & also guest percussionist Fernando Diez & more artists to be announced. There will be a Dj spinning all night an eclectic mix of international music from 7p on. Gypsy or casual attire is always welcome.

In the Art Lounge there is always an eclectic showcase of local and international artists displaying their work. This month features the beautiful work of Joseph Rivera. His self-taught technique & style resemble that of the masters from the 1500 and 1600's. This involves applying very thin layers of paint, waiting for each layer to dry before applying the next layer. This process is tedious and is very time-consuming producing beautiful results.
Rivera is proud of his heritage and specializes in painting Latina women in romantic lantern or candle light scenes.

You are invited to an artist forum in which our four artists Magda Audifred, Jos? Lopes, Ana Marini Genzon & Deborah Thomas will discuss the question of painting in an abstract manner. Each artist will present a slide show demonstration of his or her body of work. Magda Audifred's Mexican roots reveal themselves in her boldly colored mixed media paintings. Jos? Lopes pulls internal conflict from us when looking at his work. Ana Marini Genzon's acrylic paintings gently play with color layering each, producing moderate effects that have a gracious manner. The work of Deborah Thomas relies on pure color to give us a story without words.
