I was driving on the freeway the other day heading north on the 5 and I saw some farm workers harvesting a field.
I thought to myself "The more things change, the more they stay the same"
I got something in the mail the other day - from an Assemblywoman Mimi Walters - about a town meeting to discuss illegal immigrants and the impact they have on the economy and homeland security. What homeland security is this bitch referring to?
U.S.= Us always, has always will. You know damn well the U.S. needs US.
We with our hard work, sweat, muscle, hopes, dreams, determination...helped build this great nation.
We help feed, care and nurture your children.
We manicure your gardens, clean your beautiful homes, cook and launder your clothes....then go home and tend to our families.
We are tired...our backs and bones hurt...our skin is scorched from working long hard hours in the sun.
This is the land of our ancestors...If you listen closely late at night or very early in the morning you can hear them breathing beneath your pool or gazebo, maybe even under your bed. You can hear their footsteps and laughter.
We are not criminals or a threat to national security...we are your neighbors....your gardener...your housekeeper...babysitters...cooks...laborer.
If you didn't need us you wouldn't recruit or hire us...you know we work hard and cheap...You need us maybe even more than we need you.
So Minutemen, get your heads out of your white asses...I would like to see you work in the fields for one day..you wouldn't last 15 minutes...I guarantee it.
May you find peace in your hearts this coming year...treat people with decency and respect
Feliz A?o Nuevo...Happy New Year
