No Hop? No Problem!

Just because one of our hangouts has closed doesn't mean the party's over for La Raza

No Hop? No Problem!

Greetings, mi gente!

I'm ready to kick some nalgotas this year! February 8th is our first show of the year in beautiful Hacienda Heights, Califas. I'm coming back 10 lbs lighter, maybe more (I trimmed my beard.)

Well, The Puente Hills Hop finally shut its doors down. But it's ok, Mr. Duran to the rescue! I'm going to start the hippity-hop with "MONTEBELLO THURSDAYS" at the Montebello Inn. That's right, you heard it right: every freaking Thursday. We're going to have two bands and a DJ. Why should we not be able to continue having fun on Thursday nights just because the hippity Hop closed down? F--- that! I am helping promote the NEW Montebello Inn and its owner, Arnold Meza, which is a Chicano-owned and operated business. The same bands that you saw at the Hop, you'll see them here at the Inn.

Please help me, mi gente, in supporting this effort. Arnold Meza is one of our own people that needs all our support and promotion. We are going to build a Chicano dynasty here. So please, I ask you, your friends, relatives, co-workers, and sanchos or sanchas on the side, to come and help us build this dynasty together. We won't let it be snagged away from us by the old, mighty, freakin' dollar.

It all starts February 16th, with the first bands to be announced in the next couple of days. Margarita specials and all that sh-- to give you a hangover will be announced soon. Keep your chonies on, you'll get the 411 and free tickets coming up.

We've got some really good events coming up at the Inn for St. Patrick's Day and Cinco De Mayo. I'll leave you with this: when you go out and have a good time and you spend a couple of bucks on a drink and all that, remember who winds up with that mighty buck in the end. Is it somebody that worked his ass off to make a business or is it somebody from outside of the community exploiting our cultura. As my friend George Lopez would say, support your own, cabrones!

?Hasta la otra!

The new and mas chulo
