Carnaval Invades the West Coast

Carnival, or as we say in Brazil, Carnaval....is an experience everyone should have at least once in a lifetime.

Carnaval....A manifestation of happiness, a tradition.... A celebration of life. The hot music, the friendly people, the beauty and spirit of Brazilian natives will capture you! ARAKETU, one of the most famous Carnaval bands in Brazil will be performing 2 concerts/Carnaval in California, celebrating the largest Brazilian Carnaval for the first time in the west coast.

The celebrations will begin in Long Beach Convention center on Saturday February 11, 2006 at 8:00 pm and in the San Francisco area at the Bill Graham Civic Center on Sunday February 12, 2006 at 7:00pm.

Each venue expects an audience of 10,000 people ready to celebrate the most festive and entertaining Carnaval in California. It?s a crowd participation Carnaval as parade of live bands with more than 200 entertainers including Samba dancers, Samba school, Capoera and much more.

On February 25th, the celebration comes back to Los Angeles, this time in the Hollywood Palladium, making it the 22nd annual celebration at this place.

This Carnaval will be hosted by the beatiful Miss Brazil 2005, 2004, 2003, 2002, 2001 and will include fantasy circle acts. Directly from Bahia, Sotaque Baiano will be performing.
