Crewest Gallery & Shop heads downtown. World renowned urban artist and gallery owner, Man One, moves his popular four-year old Alhambra art gallery to Los Angeles? newest and celebrated art region, Gallery Row.

The grand opening 30+ artist group show of southern California?s top urban aerosol mural artists, ?Crewest: Downtown!,? is set for Saturday, March 11, 2006 from Noon to 9 pm. Crewest, now at 110 Winston Street, Downtown Los Angeles, also joins Gallery Row for the first time in the line-up of commercial art galleries, museums, and non-profit arts venues during its monthly Downtown ART WALK event March 9, 2006 from Noon ? 9 pm. The self-guided tour located between 2nd and 9th Streets and Main and Spring Streets happens every 2nd Thursday of the month showcasing the community of art exhibits, museums and more. The grand opening will feature over 30 graffiti style painted murals on wooden panels measuring from 4? x 8? to 8? x 8? that were created during last year?s Orange County Fair month long live painting exhibit curated by Man One and Crewest Gallery. The summer event, ?Southern Cali Heat,? included many of today?s leading graffiti artists from Los Angeles to San Diego and Japan. ?Crewest?s relocation inaugural exhibit is the perfect setting to highlight the work of leading aerosol artists from the West Coast. Crewest continues with its mission of providing raw and powerful urban art to the City of Los Angeles. Now that we are in Downtown, I think we have positioned ourselves to be in the center of it all, literally! When people come to L.A. and are looking for cutting edge graffiti or urban art, I want them to think of Crewest as their one stop shop,? says Man One.
