The new CD from RAMPART Records, ‘«£Frankie Firme presents 16 rare and golden treasures from the vaults of RAMPART Records??? is coming your way in late July~early August. This outstanding collection of early rare East Side Sound recordings made by the late Eddie Davis, founder of the RAMPART Record group, has been taken off the original acetate 45 rpm singles and faithfully re-mastered at True One Studios by Robert Trujillo for pure quality sound for hours of listening enjoyment.
Some of these sounds have never been released, and some never before released in the United States.
Featuring such early groups as the Atlantics featuring Barry White, Thee Royal Checkmates featuring Aaron Ballesteros, The Soul Babies featuring Sara Vaughn, Lava & The Hot Rocks, The Jaguars featuring the Salas Brothers of TIERRA fame (with Rudy at lead vocals), the Heartbreakers, the Romancers, Lil' Ray Jimenez, and much, much more! This is the one Chicano Music collectors have been waiting for!
