Sportsmen?s Lodge Hotel?s is hosting ?Some Like It Hot,? an Evening of Latin Jazz & Salsa Dancing, on Friday, October 6 at 6 to 10 pm, debuting Brazilian style and Afro-Cuban music as part of the hotel?s new ever salsa series. During the evening, guests will dine on Mexican cuisine and enjoy Margaritas, Mojitos and Beer available from a no-host bar.
For the first time in 20 years, Sportsmen?s Lodge Hotel is reviving its salsa evenings. In it?s heyday, The Sportsmen?s Lodge Hotel was Los Angeles?s renowned entertainment venue for jazz greats such as Eddie Cano and Art Graham.
On tap are the sensational sounds of master percussionist Louie Cruz Beltran, an acclaimed composer, recording artist and instructor, who has performed at the Playboy Jazz Festival in Beverly Hills, the Ford Amphitheater and Catalina Jazz Club. Beltran has also entertained audiences with world-renowned guitarist Carlos Santana at The Gibson Amphitheater at Universal City Walk. Beltran will bring guests to their feet with a variety of musical ensembles as he and his 10-piece orchestra entertain guests with an extensive repertoire of music.
The cost is $20 per person, including food stations.
It's taking place poolside at the Sportsmen?s Lodge Hotel, one of Los Angeles? legendary landmarks, catering to the music and film industry for more than 40 years.
