Orale, Mi Gente!

Even though we denizens of the Land of 1000 Dances, Southside Kali, enjoy our "cool" reputation, this recent cold spell has put more than just a chill on a lot of people & businesses, not to mention the hassle of putting on or lugging around coats & jackets , which we children of the Sun aren't accustomed to...know what I mean?

But, the Gente Brown ALWAYS know how to thaw it out, as the music, entertainment, and dancing action in Aztlan is always hot & stays that way...wacha:

The new East L.A. Revue Radio Network continues to expand it's listening audience as DJ's Frankie Firme, Crazy Chuy Hernandez, and Chico Manqueros bring you the finest home~style music buffet in Aztlan, offering all the best Oldies, Latin Soul, Tex~Mex, Classic East Side Sound, and Latin Jazz you can hear! In response to the many inquiries after some killer shows & performances....YES! That is legendary Chicano bass man Steve Falomir (TIERRA, APB fame) rockin' da house with the SATISFACTION band. Steve has been a most welcome addition to one of L.A.'s hottest dance/club bands...and it's all good when SATISFACTION's in the house!

Speaking of SATISFACTION, they will be in concert this Saturday night at the Crown Plaza Los Angeles Harbor Hotel in the sun~kissed city of San Pedro, where the Pacific Ocean kisses Los Angeles for eternity. Frankie Firme & the East L.A. Revue/LatinoLA road dogs will be there to help celebrate a very special birthday, and help the Gente kick up the dust! The LatinoLA/Mexican Cultural Institute sponsored Joe Bravo Art Show & exhibit closes this Saturday at Olvera Street in Downtown Los Angeles. A closing ceremony will be held from 6:00pm to 9:oopm ~admission is free to the public.

And now, from across the "other ocean"... England's low~riding Toby Walker joins the familia in promoting classic Soul Oldies, and invites everybody to check out his website: www.Soulwalking.co.uk ~ check out the British Oldies scene! Welcome to da 'hood, Toby!

With homies like Paul Rodriguez, George Lopez, Gilbert Esquivel, an Gabriel Inglesias in da 'hood, there's no telling who will be in the house as Rudy Moreno presents the ORIGINAL LATINO COMEDY SHOWCASE at the Pasadena Icehouse every Tuesday night.
