Women's Festival & More

I made it in time for the deadline: This year I have the honor of exhibiting my Arte at the 6th Annual "WOMEN'S MUSIC, ART, DANCE & WORLD FESTIVAL"

I am so looking forward to this event in celebration of all the Women of this World...It will be a great opportunity to make new friends and enjoy a full day of non-stop female entertainment.

The Festival will include a six-week exhibition and a day-long performance event acknowledging, celebrating and sharing the talents of California's women visual and performing Artist.

What a wonderful way to start the New Year!

I will keep you posted on the place, time and dates. Since I was in the south bay area, I got to hang out in the place I consider my home "San Pedro" I had dinner at The Conga Restaurant-very good food...nice atmosphere...good company. Saw some familiar faces...was greeted by some acquaintances and friends. Met some new people, had a margarita with my shrimp fajitas.

I must have just missed the world famous Internet D.J. Mr. Frankie Firme-but I did have a nice chat with Nati the singer of Satisfaction as it turns out Ms. Rene also likes to paint.

Also went to see SOTO at the Radisson in Whittier - got to meet Mr. Soto - what a nice guy...I've been hearing about SOTO in LatinoLA and through word of mouth...They are very good. I like variety in music and SOTO delivers just that. Nice place...good music...good crowd. A lot of fine-looking Latino men.. Did a little dance, mingled, networked. I don't go out much...but I will definitely go there again. SOTO will be opening for Poncho Sanchez on Feb. 1st at the HOP. Check them out!

Ran into Mr Duran and his wife at the Saddleback in Norwalk...what a charming, darling couple. As it turns out Mr. Duran will be presenting Tierra in March...keep an eye out for the date. We left Mr. and Mrs. Duran dancing a slow dance.

So I've been getting around...had one art show at the Rhythm lounge..and another one coming up In March.

Hopefully I will be able to make it to Tia Chuchas's 5th Anniversary party- Feb 17, 2007 because I love that place and want to show my support. I hope everyone can make it on this day.

We need to stick together...show support...work together....Siempre UNIDOS!
Love the good in people and the rest you accept.

Make it the best year possible!

Siempre con gusto y orgulo.
