Peaches, A Barrio Story

A man by the name of Tony Longoria wrote a novel by the name of "Peaches, A Barrio Story" while he was incarcerated at Corcoran State prison, he has been on the inside for over 25 years now. He took an idea and made it real. The path to the publication of his book was long and filled with many hills and valleys. He never gave up on his dream and the result is a story that comes to life as you read it.

The story is about a young lady growing up in the barrios of Los Angeles and the gang life she chose to lead until a tragedy occured in her life that caused her to question what and where her life was going. She took up the cause for peace between the gangs. The story could be about any one of the young ladies growing up in the barrios right now.

The life he chose to live took him to the place he is at now. He wanted to do something that might be able to reach the youth of today. He wanted to try to make up for the life he chose to live. The message that is contained in his book is a step in that direction.

Thank you.
