Eight Years of Comedy Magic

The Ice House Comedy Club is proud to be the home of LATINO COMEDY SHOWCASE, L.A.‘«÷s longest continually-running Latino comedy show. Held every Tuesday night, the legendary comedy club will celebrate the 8th year of the show and its host, RUDY MORENO, at each show in August.

Each Latino Comedy Showcase in August will feature a special celebrity guest comic. There will also be door prizes, anniversary cake for everyone, appearances by the Corona Beer Girls, and a guest book where everyone can write a note to Rudy. Plus, guests will receive a complimentary pass valid for two free admissions to a show in September.

Currently in its‘«÷ 8th year, LATINO COMEDY SHOWCASE is famous for discovering new Latino talent as well as hosting many celebrity drop-in sets. Future big stars Jeff Garcia, Gabriel Iglesias and ‘«£Latin Kings of Comedy‘«÷s‘«ō Joey Medina and Alex Reymundo are just a few of the high profile acts that you may catch on any given Tuesday. And Ice House alum and ABC sitcom star George Lopez still likes to drop by occasionally on ‘«£Rudy Tuesdays‘«ō to test new material before an unsuspecting audience. Being Latino is not a prerequisite for the show, though. Comics of all backgrounds have shared in the success of the popular show including Brad Garrett (Everybody Loves Raymond), Darren Carter (The Tonight Show), Chris Tucker (‘«£Rush Hour‘«ō) and Sherri Shepherd (The View; Less Than Perfect) among others.

Host RUDY MORENO is well-known and well-respected in the comedy community and there isn‘«÷t a comic out there who doesn‘«÷t dream of getting a spot on the best Tuesday night show in Los Angeles. Moreno has appeared on more than 35 TV shows including Everybody Loves Raymond, E.R., Judging Amy, Showtime's Latino Laugh Festival and on NBC's highly acclaimed mini-series ‘«£Kingpin.‘«ō Rudy was also named the 1998-99 Latino Comedian of the Year, and recorded his comedy CD "No Looking Back" on the Uproar label. Rudy also completed his first DVD in 2006, a joint effort with Ice House fan favorite Gilbert Esquivel called ‘«£Double Date.‘«ō

Tickets for each show are $12.50 at the door and reservations are recommended as this show is wildly popular and frequently sells out. Call 626.577.1894 for reservations.
