"It's a period to celebrate," said Edgardo, vocalist of Hijos del Sol. "[In] the music environment, it's very difficult to keep a band together. There are so many situations and constant changes that require for you to become and adaptable person."

With these word Hijos del Sol is preparing the sixth anniversary of the band, now with a more developed sound and ready to show it on the stage on Wednesday December 4th at the Knitting factory in Hollywood. In the famous venue, in front of the more than 550 people that the band hopes to pack in, the band deserves an energetic, interesting and funny night.

With two records to their credit, including one with their ex-label Fonovisa. and two entries on two different compilations, Hijos del Sol continues their way in establishing their musical career.

The band has shared the stage with big and different musical flavors like Enrique Bunbury, Fito Pa?z, Alejandra Guzman, Aterciopelados, Hombres G, Juan Perro, Rabanes, Ozomatli, King Chango, Son by Four and many others. Visiting all the key cities in the USA, including Puerto Rico, north of Mexico and recently the Mexican capital with a show at the well-known Bulldog and Rocotitlan.

This celebration is an invitation to all the public that has shared with the band in this six years to get together in one big "pachanga-party" and at the same time they will be helping a good cause, because part of the ticket's incomes will go to benefit the Blind Children?s Center of Los Angeles (http://www.BlindChildrensCenter.org). This center was open on 1938 and at the moment assists more than 100 families annually.

"We love to support this organizations that really help the community and every time we have the opportunity we try to help them,? says the band's keyboardist Marina.

Also, playing at this event will be the acoustic power of New Mexico's Manzanares, one of the hottest bands of the area of Santa Fe, NM. They will be presenting their new record "Nuevo Latino". For more information http://www.manzanaresysol.com.
