Rick Najera‘«÷s original comedy showcase sensation, LATINOLOGUES will return to Los Angeles for new shows beginning Saturday August 16, 2008 at The Hayworth Theatre/ the new La Fonda Entertainment and Cultural Center on Wilshire. Latinologues, written, created, directed and produced for stage by award-winning sketch comedy writer/actor Rick Najera, is a compilation of comedic and poignant monologues about life in America.
Latinologues will perform every Saturday night at 10 pm beginning August 16 at the Hayworth Theatre, which is part of the historic La Fonda Building on Wilshire, and will run indefinitely. The 5,000 square foot La Fonda building includes La Fonda Restaurant, The Hayworth Theatre, and several smaller theatres and classrooms upstairs which are now available for workshops and performances. La Fonda on Wilshire was founded by the legendary Mariachi ensemble Nati Cano y Los Camperos, provides live Mariachi nightly Thursday through Sunday.

Latinologues performances will include new and original monologues written by Najera. Latinologues, which ran on Broadway in 2005, directed by Cheech Marin, is the only Latino showcase of its kind in America with a rotating cast. More than 75 guest actors have performed in the show since its inception. Cast for this show will be announced soon.
