Novel Embodies True Teenage Latina

My name is Sandra Lopez, and I am pleased to announce the debut of my first novel, "Esperanza", a story about a 14-year old Mexican-American girl growing up in the poor slums of the barrio.

The dramatic story begins with her entering the unfamiliar territory of high school, where she is thrust into a blunder of various events that plague her very existence. Esperanza, who was raised around her family's alcoholism and domestic abuse, is a smart and ambitious young kid whose only desire is to create a suitable life for herself. She is tired of being "just another Mexican." Her goal is to prove once and for all that the American dream is blind to color and can be seen by everyone.

Esperanza embodies the true teenage Latina. Her story is filled with pain, tears, and hearty laughter. It carries a voice enriched with barrio slang and sarcastic humor. It is an inspiration to all young girls who want to make their mark in this world.

It would be a real honor to have my work featured in your publication. My book has all the elements your readers absolutely enjoy: love, laughter, and motivation.
