La Muerte de Resurrection Blvd

they took la calle bronze
off the map,

another conquistador assault,
buried it in a mass grave,

faces of those gente
are disappeared,

lagrimas y chistes,
respeto de familia y cuentos,

lay in some unmarked grave,
la voz de resurrection hides en silencio,

la noche has an empty place
where espantos wander in confusion,

the conga beat dies sin manos
de los congeros,

the dance is ended,
la luz is gone,

la calle is dark,
without the laughter de los ni?os

Showtimes' Resurrection Blvd. aired for three seasons. It was created and produced by Dennis Leoni and starred Tony Plana, Ruth Livier, Michael de Lorenzo and others. Many Latinos worked on Resurrection Blvd., in front of and behind the camera and as writers.
