A painting by Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez sold for $255,000 at an auction. A British tour group traveling through Pumaorcco, Peru was held captive by a group of local villagers wielding axes, rocks and branches. The tourists were mistaken for representatives from a mining company thought to be arriving to steal the areas natural resources. The villagers eventually released the tour group and no one was injured during the incident.
