ÔÇó Director of Information Technology - Bilingual

We are Liberman Broadcasting, Inc. ("LBI") the largest privately-owned Spanish broadcasting company with five TV stations and 21 radio stations operating in California, Texas and Utah. We are looking for a bilingual (English/Spanish) well-rounded, top performer who can be a key contributor in a high-energy growth environment. The Director of Information Technology shall provide, operate, and maintain computing equipment and services that meets the needs of the administrative and production functions of the Company. The Director of IT is responsible for all aspects of information technology management and control, including supervision of IT employees, recommendations for technical acquisitions and development of guidelines, standards and procedures. The Director of IT is charged with strategic planning, tactical action and operational decision-making to fulfill the mission of the IT department. The successful candidate will possess initiative and drive, have broad relevant technical knowledge with good management expertise and have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Summary of essential job functions
* Provide leadership, vision, and management to the IT department.
* Work with Executive Management and Engineering departments to asses and respond to Company IT needs.
* Provide day-to-day supervision, conduct performance appraisals, and delegate work assignments for all IT personnel.
* Assist in recruiting, hiring, and providing appropriate training for IT support staff.
* To develop and maintain effective working relationships when performing assigned responsibilities.
* To ensure the continual functioning of Company critical operations.
* Supervise the ordering, acquisition, inventorying, and disposition of hardware and software.
* Serve as primary contact with outside vendors in the generation of RFP's, bids, contracts, agreements and other major vendor interactions.
Minimum requirements
* Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering or related field and five years management/leadership experience. Master's degree in computer science or related field is preferred.
* Strong analytical and logical problem solving skills. Understanding of Sox compliance is a plus.
* Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
* Excellent software, analytical and leadership skills.
* Experience thinking critically about systems and workflow, and identifying needs for development.
* Attention to detail, organized and thorough, with desire for continuous improvement.
* Documented working experience with Microsoft Windows Environment, including MS-SQL 2000 and Microsoft.
* Exchange 2000 and 2003, and Server 2000 and 2003 as well as Internet Information Server and all Microsoft Office products. Proficiency in the installation, setup and use of Great Plains accounting software and experience with Marketron and Audio Vault is a plus. Proficiency in spam prevention, routing, firewalls, modems, and all data-com wiring.

Abilities required

Job summary

We are KRQB Radio ("Que Buena" Riverside 96.1 FM), a Liberman Broadcasting, Inc. ("LBI") owned and operated radio station, and we're looking for great sales professionals to join our team. Our salespeople teach clients how to market their businesses using radio and our other Spanish broadcast mediums. We want to talk with you if you have the necessary skills to speak with clients directly and help them solve their marketing problems. LBI is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

We are looking for experienced sales professionals to develop and sell advertising and marketing campaigns to new and existing clients. Responsibilities include soliciting new business through prospecting and cold calling, managing and growing existing assigned accounts/budgets, identifying clients' advertising needs and developing and presenting customized solutions to meet those needs. These individuals are also held accountable for achieving sales budgets and collecting on the accounts.
Summary of essential job functions

1) Contact prospective customers to sell radio time for broadcasting station/network.

2) Maintain account lists and soliciting new business.

3) Develop proposals utilizing MS office products.

4) Prepare promotional plans, sales literature, and advertising proposals.

5) Develop and maintain relationships with clients by providing top quality service.

6) Investigate and resolve customer problems.

7) Communicate with other departments to assure quality service in placing orders and arranging promotional events.

8) Responsible for exceeding sales budget and collection of sold accounts.

9) Attend sales meetings, training sessions, and client remotes.

* High school graduate; college preferred.
* Prior experience in sales/marketing; previous radio sales experience preferred but not required.

* Must have a valid driver's license and vehicle with appropriate insurance.
* Spanish Preferred but not required.


* Chief Radio Broadcast Engineer

We are Liberman Broadcasting, Inc. a major Spanish Language Broadcaster looking for a well-rounded, top performer who can be a key contributor in a high-energy growth environment. The Chief Radio Broadcast Engineer shall install, operate, and maintain radio broadcasting equipment and services that meets and/or exceeds the needs of the administrative and production functions of the Company. The successful candidate will possess initiative and drive, have broad relevant technical knowledge with good people skills and have excellent written and verbal communication skills. * RF testing, optimization for the continued operation of radio broadcast transmission.
* Troubleshoot radio, studio and transmitter equipment to the component level.
* Setting up and monitoring audio links between units in different locations.
* Installing and testing new facilities and equipment.
* Setting up and operating equipment and transmission links during outside broadcast.
* To develop and maintain effective working relationships when performing assigned responsibilities.
* To ensure the continual functioning of Company critical radio operations.

Minimum requirements

* Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, broadcast engineering, computer science, computer engineering, or related field and three years experience.

* Excellent organizational, interpersonal, staff management and communication skills.
* Excellent software, analytical and IT/networking skills.
* Experienced and knowledgeable in all governmental/public file records maintenance, reporting and licensing (FCC, AQMD, Etc.).
* Experience thinking critically about systems and workflow, and identifying needs for development.
* Attention to detail, organized and thorough, with desire for continuous improvement.

* Documented working experience with Microsoft Windows Environment, and all Microsoft Office products. Proficiency in the installation, setup and use of Audio Vault and other radio broadcast equipment is required.

Summary of essential job functions

The successful candidate will be Editing, utilizing both linear and non-linear equipment, the production of creative and technical video productions to ensure that they meet established quality standards and are completed within budget requirements. Assist with editing support, graphics support, and other media expertise. Participate in creative design of internal projects. Contribute to the maintenance of a positive, team-oriented atmosphere. Ensure that problems or abnormal trends that could jeopardize quality disrupt work flow, or impact cost and schedule objectives are reported immediately for corrective action. Ensure quality standards are met and comply with company client specifications.
