Alfonso Portillo, former President of Guatemala, was extradited from Mexico this week to face charges of corruption.

Penguin publishing division Celebra and People en Espa??ol released "Legends en Espa??ol", featuring photos and essays profiling 100 entertainment icons. Celia Cruz, Vicente Fernandez, Jennifer Lopez, Desi Arnaz and Selena are among the entertainers included in the book.

England's Arsenal Football Club has joined forces with Punto Rojo Sports Marketing Group to target the U.S. Hispanic market. Part of the outreach includes a branded vehicle featuring a traveling museum with Arsenal memorabilia set to launch in Los Angeles and hit New York, Chicago, Florida and Texas in 2009.

Toyota has launched an interactive Pixelometro website as part of its campaign to market the Prius to Hispanic consumers. The campaign includes placement on Terra's global-warming section. According to AdAge magazine, Hispanics account for 12% of Toyota's overall sales and 5% of Prius sales.
