Workplace Hollywood is a non-profit organization dedicated to training and placing a qualified and diverse workforce in the Entertainment Industry.

Workplace Hollywood is a non-profit, community-based organization formed by the entertainment industry to ensure that individuals from diverse communities of color in Los Angeles can successfully compete for, and gain access to, jobs in that industry.

The goal of WH is to populate the entertainment industry on as many levels as possible with the best-trained and most diverse individuals, and to give all people a shot at its well-paying jobs. We receive our financial support from the industry and from other private philanthropic donors.

Entertainment industry leaders, who realized that there were large numbers of people in greater Los Angeles who were disconnected from the industry workforce, founded Workplace Hollywood in 1998. They saw a lack of access to information about career opportunities, training and internships. And, of course, they understood that these people did not have the connections necessary to pursue careers in Los Angeles' signature industry.
