Si Se Puede

I got up today to a new day...I hadn't seen the sun rise in a long time.
it was beautiful as the night turned into day...a brand new day.

What an amazing and exciting 2008 presidential election that was...I was just waiting to see who was going to win. Of course I voted for Barack was the only choice for me.

Here is a man with vision and hope.
Which is what we need in these trying times. Si Se Puede -Yes We Can was the message our new president had for us.

We have been saying and using that slogan for many years.

When we fight for equality, when we want change, when justice is called for.

We march and shout ''Si Se Puede''.

America and the Latino population has been waiting and long over due for change.

And now we have a leader that brings hope and new ideas to a nation that is sick and tired of the same old, lack of vision, apathetic, way of doing things.

The voter turnout for this election was a record..the Latino vote was very powerful in this election.

And American's know deep down that Bush's eight years in office has left a mess of this country, with the longest and costliest war going on and the highest deficit in history.

It's going to take everybody to bring change.. Yes We Can
