Lucha Va Voom II brings luchadores y strip tease to downtown LA

Sexo y Violencia

Due to the overwhelming success of Lucha Va Voom I, this hybrid of classic burlesque and pure vintage Mexican Masked wrestling is returning for one night only, February 13th, at the magnificent Mayan Theatre.

There is ample seating at the Mayan, but the crowd was on its feet from the first body slam to the climactic final match, where living legends Hijo del Santo & Mil Mascaras reigned supreme.

For Lucha VaVoom II, we have superstars Blue Demon Jr. , La Parka and Neutron Jr.. vs. the evil Medico Asesino Jr., Dr. O'Brien and Dr.Caronte 2000.

Returning for a screaming rematch by audience demand are Octagoncito y
Mascarita Sagrada vs. Piratita Morgan y Pierreothito. Two more matches featuring the best of local & Tijuana luchadores will kick off the evening, with color commentary courtesy of Blaine Capatch of TV's Beat the Geeks and Lucha Libre raconteur Mr. Unknown.

Not to be outdone by the masked Mexican madness, a selection of Velvet Hammer dancers will break up the violence with alot of strip-appeal in a sexy, South-of-the-Border-style display of pure vintage burlesque only the Velvet Hammer can deliver.

Inspired by the Mexican Lucha films of the 50's and 60's, Lucha VaVoom is a live, decadent, cinematic experience; where wrestling super-heros battle evil scientists and save the beautiful dancing girls to a way-out soundtrack provided by L.A.'s own
DJ Prickle.

Tickets are $25 general admission, $40 ringside.
